About Mark and JoAnn
Mark and JoAnn Herbert, long-time residents of Columbia County, are creating a unique, charitable legacy within their local community, whom they consider their “family.”
When Mark isn’t busy building high-quality, affordable homes, he and JoAnn work tirelessly to help build, develop and reshape the lives of many of their fellow Augusta residents through their extraordinary philanthropic efforts.
Instead of contributing their time and dollars to just one favorite charitable cause, the Herberts have generously chosen to give to a large number of nonprofit organizations, including the Golden Harvest Food Bank, the local chapter of the American Heart Association (Augusta Heart Ball), The Building Worship Center, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Pregnant Choices Medical Clinic, St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and Good Neighbor Ministries, among others.
The Herberts also proudly support our soldiers through the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Fund, Forces United and the Fort Gordon Christmas House.
Mark and JoAnn’s deep sense of purpose and mission was founded on a shared belief that every person, every member of their community, has the ability to help in their own unique way. They believe that everyone deserves help when the load of their burdens gets too heavy to carry alone.
Mark and JoAnn pride themselves on providing people with hope, helping to carry the load for their community members through their hardest times. Through their remarkable generosity, the Herberts have brought comfort, guidance, provision, restoration, and freedom to many, helping them to not only survive their challenging circumstance but thrive from it and move through it, so they themselves can one day pay it forward.
